Mozambique: Hot beaches and spectacular marine life.
Day 1: pm 
You will be met by staff from Bara Resorts who will transfer you to your lodgings on the beach. You travel through the old Portuguese village of Inhambane where the intrepid explorer Vasco da Gama landed in search of a sea passage to India. That evening over drinks at the bar, the activities staff will help you plan the next 3 days. Close encounters with dolphin, whale sharks, giant Manta rays, together with tropical reefs and a myriad of tropical fish will be satisfied, by booking a number of scuba dives or snorkelling trips. Big game fishing for Marlin, Tuna and Barracuda, book a half day or full days excursion. Charter a catamaran for a full day cruise or just a sunset cruise or take a horse ride on the beach into the setting sun. These are but a few of the activities available. Dining specialities include prawns, crayfish, shrimps, and crab.
Day 4: am
A leisurely breakfast followed by your last swim in the sea or stroll on the beach before departure to Inhambane airport en route to the capital city of Mozambique, Maputo. You will be transferred to one of the 4 star hotels which will be the base for your next 2 days.
Day 4: pm
Relax at your hotel and experience true Portuguese cuisine for dinner.
Day 5: am
Full English or continental breakfast is served till 10h00. A city tour will include, museums, churches, railway station built by Alexandre Eiffel, botanical gardens, central market, and the fort built in 1851.
Day 5: pm
Catch the ferry across the bay to Katembe and have your lunch on the beach. On your return stop off and explore the curios market. This evening take a trip down the Avenida Da Marginal and choose a night club or restaurant for dinner. Later, maybe a turn with lady luck at the casino. Personal favourite is the Costa do Sol for a variety of seafood dishes with a local bottle of wine.
Day 6: am
Depart on your flight to OR Tambo International Airport for your connecting flight home. |
